Starting in September 2016, Anneleen Lenaerts will be the harp instructor in the Classical Department of Maastricht Conservatory, the Netherlands.
Lenaerts, who was featured in the May-June 2015 issue of Harp Column, adds this latest appointment to an already long list of accomplishments. She has won top prizes in almost all of the major international harp competitions of the world, including Lily Laskine and the ARD International Music Competition in Munich. In 2010, she won the audition to become Principal Harpist of the Vienna Philharmonic and Vienna Opera Orchestra. And she recently added an album of harp concertos to her discography, which was reviewed by the Harp Column. All of this, and she is still only 28 years old!
This coming academic season, young harpists will now have the opportunity to study with Ms. Lenaerts by joining the Maastricht Conservatory.
