December 15, 2023

The American Harp Foundation’s 2024 Anne Adams Awards and Marcel Grandjany Memorial Competition will take place on May 29–30, 2024, at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, in New Brunswick, N.J. Competitors will perform in Nicholas Music Center. The competitions will conclude with the winners’ recital on the evening of May 30, which will be open to the American Harp Society, the Rutgers community, and the public.

The application deadline is April 5, 2024. More information, including required repertoire and application materials, is available on the Foundation website.

The American Harp Foundation has also announced two upcoming scholarship opportunities. The Kathy Bundock Moore Memorial Scholarship is a $2,000 award given to support one year of studies in an undergraduate music degree program with a specialization in harp. The award is funded by Moore’s family and friends in honor of her teaching for over 30 years as a harp instructor at the University of Northern Colorado and as a private harp teacher in Colorado. Any student at any university may apply, but priority will be given to students at Colorado schools, as well as students who are Colorado residents.

The Kids for Camp Scholarship helps young harpists attend a summer music camp or harp conference. For 2024, two $500 awards will be given to promising young harp students on the basis of great financial need.

Applications for both scholarships are due May 1, 2024. For more information, visit the scholarship page on the Foundation’s website.
