The “Arpademia for Celtic Harp” International Competition has announced the repertoire for its third edition. Created by the Arpademia Association together with Università Popolare dell’Alto Monferrato, the competition will be held in one or two video rounds, depending on the category, between Dec. 20, 2022, and May 10, 2023. On April 1, 2023, participants’ performance videos will be uploaded to a dedicated online channel; the videos will be available to view and “like” until April 30. Prizes will be awarded by a jury, with an additional audience prize awarded to the performer with the highest number of “likes” on the competition’s video channel. The awards ceremony will take place on May 10.
The competition includes a series of categories for Celtic harpists, divided by age and type (solo, harp ensemble, or harp therapy). Another series of categories is open only to student harpists specializing in music at Italian secondary schools and high schools.
