Dorset Harp Colony

“The mission of the Dorset Harp Colony is to educate, inspire, encourage, and mentor the next generation of harpists through mindful music-making,” says Dorset Harp Colony founder Alix Raspé Gray. “My hope in building the returning community of the Dorset Harp Colony is to influence harpists to support and motivate one-another, to inspire each other musically, and to encourage a healthy mind/body balance to their music.”

She goes on to say, “I love that our harp community is a small, tight-knit group of talented creatives, musical storytellers, teachers, performers, and entrepreneurs. Most harpists I speak to (including myself) found the harp in their own unique way. As disparate as the community is, our shared passion for the harp allows us to form close and lasting bonds.”
