Today’s Tip:
PLAY WITH STYLE
Two hallmarks of Baroque music are dynamic contrast and ornamentation. Terraced dynamics—sudden shifts between loud and soft dynamic levels—and ornaments—the decoration of melodies with trills, appoggiaturas, and other embellishments—were defining styles of the music of this era. See if you can spot moments of dynamic contrast or ornamentation in your music.
