The University of Utah provides a supportive environment where students can personally excel on their instrument. The program includes classes in harp pedagogy, harp literature and history, and ensemble and chamber music. Harpist have opportunities to perform in small ensembles with a variety of instruments as well as multiple orchestral performance opportunities including opera, ballet, symphony, and wind orchestras. The University of Utah includes professors who not only teach but also perform extensively in symphony orchestras themselves.  This program will provide the student with the knowledge and skills to move into the competitive world of music performance and harp education so that they can carve out a career path for themselves upon graduation.
