While my first love is Celtic music, I’ve always enjoyed to few and far between bits of Jewish music I’ve heard. Does anyone know any traditional Jewish harp music they could recommend? I’m looking for beginner/intermediate level stuff – both folk and sacred. I’d like to know about specific arrangements that you think are really good.

Sylvia Woods has a book too. Some of it is specifically Chanukah music, but some of it is good for anytime.

There are also some easy arrangements in her Hymns and Wedding Music book.

My vote goes to Sunita Staneslow, because she has arrangements of several of my favorites:

La rosa enflorece aka Los Bilbilikos (Sephardic)
Dodi Li (Israeli)
Erev Shel Shoshanim (Israeli)

I know of no harp arrangements for the following, but they’d be great:

La vida do por el raki (Sephardic)
La serena aka En la mar hay una torre (Sephardic)
Rumeniya, Rumeniya (Yiddish)
Tumbalalaika (Yiddish)
Dona, Dona (Yiddish)

Most of these are melancholy or poetic, but “La vida do por el raki” and “Rumeniya” are lively.

There is a harp arrangement of Tumbalalaika. Maybe by Phyllis Schlomovitz? It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but it seems to me it looked like her typesetting, in which case it might be worth checking for it in her beginner’s harp book.

Dewey Owens also has a very thorough collection. If you know the tunes, Jewish songs are mostly in A minor or D minor.

Actually, I do know of one harp arrangement for “Tumbalalaika,” but it’s a little too simple.

I forgot to mention
Yerushalayim shel Zahav (Israeli, Staneslow)

Interesting too that Sunita shares your liking for both Celtic and Jewish.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I just found a free download on Staneslow’s website. I can’t try it at the moment, because I’ve just taken a short break from redecorating my music room. I hope to have time to try it tonight, and I’ll be looking for the Dewey Owens music.
