Have been excited about what the Nouveau looks like since I saw it on the Lyon and Healy price page. I see a style 150 limited edition on the price page as well..anyone knows what that’s gonna look like?

Hello! Happy to try and help you, although I’m not the best person to ask. For second hand harps, you can check harp column’s classifieds or Lyon and Healy’s CPO. Otherwise, it’s always best to go to a harp showroom to test the harps out!

Thanks for all your comments and advice! The Style 23 above looks lovely. I’m probably going for a natural finish after seeing that picture! =)

You probably bought your harp already, considering that this post was started two years ago.

But for the other people who recently stumbled on this post or want to know about L&H electroacoustic/electric harps! I just found this video recently, which I think it’s an old model of the Lyon Healy Style 100. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiDqaatxat0

Also this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxYwDzwJx-o which I think is a fully electric harp although it says electroacoustic in the title..?
    Hope this helps!

I’ve tried only the Auroras and Ariannas, but they all have sound great. The only issue I have is with the Aurora, the spacing in the high octave is quite uncomfortable as I have big hands!

Thank you for your replies =)

By the way, I found another video of the Rainbow here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTYpXNcp0to

Thanks for your comment about the gold finish Jimmy. I think a natural or mahogany finish will be better..And anyway, the harp got sold!

It seems like not many people are familiar with L&H/Salvi’s electric/acoustic PEDAL harps. I’ve seen so many posts about the Silhouettes and some for Camac Big Blue but so few on Lyon and Healy’s 2000 and Salvi’s Rainbow

For acoustic harps, you could just install pickups and feed it through the sound system for amplification. So in the end it comes to the same thing doesn’t it?

I recently flew to the harp showroom in London and saw that their Style 100 had quite a big dent right at the front! Perhaps you would have to sew in extra padding for the column guard? And also throw in as many pillows in your car as possible!
