Thanks for your replies, they are very helpful! I had not come across adlais before, but it seems perfect. The only thing I am confused about is that the book of welsh airs seems to have a lot in E flat, I don’t know how to do flats, would I have to retune my harp? I don’t fancy that as all the other books I have are simple to use as in c or just a few sharps so I can set the levers to play. Would it be easier to get the book and just transpose into an easier key?

I have stumbled on a real gem that I would highly recommend to you guys if you love welsh music, my favourite all time welsh piece is myfanwy, and there is a lovely version by this publisher arranged by meinir heulyn, I have bought this and it’s not easy for me but one to work at! Just beautiful though

I know I’m very late on this thread but am new to the forum! It’s been lovely reading everyone’s stories. I got my harp two months ago and just love it so much, I spend every spare second playing it! I have always loved the harp and thought it looked and sounded beautiful, but never ever entertained any thought of having one as I didn’t know about lever harps and thought that I didn’t have a hoe of ever being abonetime afford a harp, and had never even seen one in real life. Then, on my tenth wedding anniversary I came home and had the surprise of my life to find my husband had bought me a lovely lever harp! I love playing the piano and he said he had always thought I would love the harp (also because I’m welsh!) and so he had secretly researched and bought me a harp! I’m one lucky lady x
