Anderson University Harp Camp is a 5-day camp that provides aspiring harpists the opportunity to expand the knowledge and appreciation of the harp and sharpen solo and collaborative performing abilities. This unique harp camp experience includes master classes, seminars, harp ensemble, fun group activities, private lessons, and a final recital. Anderson University Harp Camp is being offered in conjunction with the Anderson University String Camp for chamber music opportunities.

A week of fresh air and intense work with great harpist Isabelle Perrin in Spain!

The International Harp Workshop ARPA HORTA aims to unite the rich qualities of a magical instrument with those of an agricultural landscape.

The workshop offers a grant to one participant, selected the first day of lessons, to cover 50% of the fee. The selected harpist will give a recital in a concert venue in Lleida.

The Baton Rouge Harp Festival is a one week day camp held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This one week immersion in harp offers three courses: Harp Explorers (total beginners, ages 6-10), Harp Choir (established to intermediate, ages 9-13), and Young Artists (late intermediate to advanced, ages 14-18).

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp offers harpists of all levels the opportunity for intensive summer study in a traditional camp environment. Twelve day sessions conclude with a recital for family and friends. Daily classes include: private lessons, ensemble skills, theory, history, and practice time. Enrollment is limited to six students per session, and pedal harps are provided. Students may also select from a wide range of minor classes in other arts areas.

Harp camp at Bob Jones University isn’t your typical cabin-insect-lake experience. BJU camps are designed around campers’ particular interests. The mission of BJU summer camps is to help you grow Christlike character as you learn about a specific field. In addition to the daily ensemble rehearsals, solo master classes, private lessons, and performances, all camps include chapel, personal Bible study, nightly group devotions in the residence halls, and recreation.

Immerse yourself in this 10-day Jazz Harp intensive, hosted by Cristina Braga and the Jazz Harp Foundation at Uaná Etê Music Garden, a gorgeous retreat 2 bus hours from Rio de Janeiro. While there is a strong focus on Brazilian Latin Jazz, ‘regular’ jazz learnings are well represented in the curriculum. Brevard provides a congenial summer community for young musicians of exceptional gifts. Over four hundred students, ages 14 – 29, enroll each year who represent nearly every state in the U.S. and several other countries. Brevard presents 80 public concerts throughout its seven-week festival including major orchestral, chamber, and operatic repertoire.

Harp students ages 5-18 of all levels, methods, and traditions are invited to join us for a week of harp ensemble, masterclasses with guest artists, music theory, enrichment classes, and more with Katie Berquist, Kela Walton and Grace Wong. Space is limited, and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The workshop concludes with a final harp ensemble concert on August 16, 2019.

Coda’s Summer Music Festival is an intensive, two-week residential music program led by Coda’s artistic faculty in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia. Harp students receive c. two private lessons weekly, play in harp master classes, and attend music classes (some harp-specific) in addition to playing in harp ensemble, chamber ensembles, and large ensemble. The two weeks of study culminate in several end-of-festival student performances featuring student chamber groups and large ensembles.

Harpists are invited to join the Crested Butte Music Festival’s annual Crested Butte Chamber Music Intensive in beautiful Crested Butte, CO. Small ensembles of serious musicians will be coached by world-class artists in a supportive, inviting atmosphere. The Intensive is unique in its intimate atmosphere and unequaled access to coaches; the participant-to-coach ratio is capped at 3:1. Additionally, coaches will perform with participants and lead hikes and other outdoor activities.

The fifth annual David’s Harp School will be held as part of the Summer Worship Intensive at Reach Out for Christ Church in Freeville, NY.  Teachings and activations designed to illuminate Biblical models for the harp, including worship as seen in the Psalms.  Opportunities for worship with harpists and other instrumentalists, especially in creating new songs and spontaneous worship music.  Culminates in all-day worship event on July 1: BURN 24/7 Ithaca Region.

A one-week intensive harp summer program for intermediate to advanced students of all ages, designed to assist in developing harpists through the exploration of ensemble performance, stage presence, and harp maintenance.  Enrichment activities, rehearsals, and coachings will culminate with all students performing in a concert on the last afternoon of the program.  Students and families will have the additional opportunity to enjoy a vendor fair sponsored by the Virginia Harp Center.

Harp Camp VA takes place at the Acorn Inn, a self-contained 10 room inn in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. We have a wonderful large space for classes, rehearsals and performance. All meals are provided. Begin each day with Floor Barre exercise followed by ensemble rehearsals, workshops and activities to enrich your skills and confidence. We’ll go to the lake for swimming, canoeing and a picnic. Lots more activities to be announced.

This is a try-it-out style camp for children ages 6-10 who are new to the harp. The camp will be taught by Zoe Coppola, a professional harpist and graduate of the Peabody Conservatory.

A 3-day harp retreat  in a peaceful, rural setting with Kim Robertson & Sunita Staneslow.  Five to six hours of activities daily with workshops, master classes, optional ensemble playing and an add-on Special Focus class on Thursday. The evening activities will include informal harp circles, a recital by Kim & Sunita and a “Hidden Talents Show” the final night. The focus is on musicality and expression combined with practical tools to improve technique for any level.

An exciting week of solo and ensemble experiences, open to harpists entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12. Participants also have the opportunity to attend special master classes on a variety of topics including: orchestra excerpts, chamber music, improvisation & arranging, harp maintenance, pilates & yoga, and career discussions with Prof. Delaine Fedson Leonard and Kela Walton. The camp culminates with a student performance. The Hot Springs Music Festival pairs world-class mentor musicians from major orchestras, chamber ensembles and conservatory faculties with especially talented pre-professional apprentices–all of whom receive full tuition scholarship. This year’s theme is “Dancing with my Harp.” We welcome incoming 6th through graduated 12th grade students for a non-competitive week of comprehensive studies on the many aspects of the harp and its music, history and ensemble playing. Ensemble rehearsals culminate in an extraordinary recital at the end of the week.  Other exciting classes and activities include “Famous Harpists,” “Wedding Workshop,” masterclasses, and private lessons with our faculty.

In the mornings delve into your level specific session, and in the afternoons choose from musical topics including ensemble. Enjoy special activities like the student BBQ, Breton dance workshop, instructor concert and the annual Céilidh.

The summer harp programs at Montclair State University offer an experience that is unique to the New York Metropolitan area.  Students are able to experience what it is like to attend a world-class music school complete with personal practice rooms and full use of rehearsal and performance spaces.  Our program benefits the advanced beginner through the advanced level player, and we have programs for different age groups.  Harp Camp ages 8-12 and Harp Academy ages 13-17.
