Program summary

Orford Music is an oasis of music and art nestled in the heart of Mount Orford National Park
The summer music program takes place alongside an International Festival, where students can perform and participate in the Orford Music Award (more than $20 000 in prizes).
Faculty: Prof. Jennifer Swartz, principal harp for the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and head of the Harp Program at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University.

Dorms, rooms in double occupancy, one bathroom per room. Each harpist will have their own studio.

Deadlines to apply

February 1, 2024. You will automatically be considered for a scholarship if you apply before that date and if all of the audition material has been received.

March 30, 2024. Without a scholarship, acceptances according to available places.

AUDITION MATERIAL: A professional quality video recording (uploaded on YouTube) 2 works of various styles, which must include a work from the standard virtuosic repertoire. The recording must be a maximum of 15 minutes in length and must have been recorded after July 1st, 2023.

Fees include

  • tuition fees;
  • access, throughout the summer, to online lectures on various aspects of a musician’s career. These online lectures will be given by teachers and professionals from other backgrounds (such as music, finance, psychology, fitness, etc.)
