This book is an opportunity to share with you some of the most famous tunes from the world of opera: tunes that you have always wanted to play but had not found suitable arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to playing the harp parts in an orchestra, playing from this book may be more enjoyable since this is a chance for you to play the tune on the harp rather than hearing it on the stage. However, there lies the challenge of this book\u2014providing a clear melody and a supportive subtle accompaniment. Fingering, pedaling and phrasing are provided for easy reading. For the \u201cPearl Fishers\u2019 Duet\u201d I have added a flute part to play the solo line, leaving the harp part intact.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to Volume 1 of Famous Music for the Harp (Traditional Tunes) these arrangements could easily be used as a source of background music for a variety of occasions.
