Alyssa Reit has arranged four traditional Armenian folk songs for flute and pedal harp. One of the settings is a completely original arrangement, with other transcriptions from beautiful string quartet versions, set by Sergei Aslamian. His settings were based on the extensive work of Komitas Vardipet, a priest\/composer who collected and published thousands of Armenian folk tunes.<\/p>\n
