“Tiny Toes Tango” is in G major and has a strict tango bass line with an easy melody line, decorated with a few ornaments and embellishments.<\/p>\n
“Squeak’s Waltz” is a graceful waltz in the key of A minor, with all the characteristics expected of a waltz.<\/p>\n
“A Nice Time for Mice” has a bit of a march feel about it\u2026 just imagine, you’ve evaded the cat and you’re off to get the cheese\u2026 It is in the key of D major.<\/p>\n
“An Ode to Cheese” is a wistful air, filled with the reverence of a naughty mouse hankering for your cheese. It is mostly in the key of C major, with a little foray into A minor. It has the occasional right-hand harmonic at the end of phrases.<\/p>\n
“Lil Whiskers” is a cheeky jig in F major, as danced by the wee mice on the cover of this book. It has a couple of little broken-chord passages which move between root position and inversions.<\/p>\n
