It is based on Gregorian plainchant and also influenced by the harmonies and textures of French impressionism. Durufl\u00e9 created three versions of the Requiem, all for chorus and different instrumentations. The part is newly engraved with modern notation and includes helpful harp-specific information such as pedal markings, cues, enharmonic equivalents, and suggested fingerings.
