Note from the arranger<\/h3>\n

The lyrics to the German Epiphany hymn, “As With Gladness Men of Old,” were penned in 1859. They were set to a melody named \u201cDix\u201d written in 1838 by Konrad Kocher. In 1864, Englishman Folliott Pierpont penned the words \u201cFor the Beauty of the Earth,\u201d setting them to the same melody.<\/p>\n
