In the <em>pinc\u00e9<\/em> passage, the thumb and index fingertips of the right hand come together \u201cpinching\u201d and pulling the string. For the <em>sons xylo<\/em> phrase, the sound of a xylophone is created by placing the second and third fingers of the left hand against the base of the described strings right where they emerge from the soundboard while the melody is played in the right hand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<h4>Scroll down to listen<\/h4>\n<p>Kathleen Blackwell-Plank\u2019s \u201cButterfly Weed\u201d is for solo lever or pedal harp.
