The arrangement has two verses including the slightly varied chorus after each verse. It starts out with simple accompaniment and progresses to fuller chords and octaves in the melody.<\/p>\n<p>Second melody: The most well-known melody used for the Robert Burns&#8217; New Year\u2019s Day poem is set to a traditional Scottish folk tune. The arrangement has two verses with the left hand playing wider octaves and 10th chords, and the right hand playing suspended harmonies, octaves in the melody, and the last verse in the upper register.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kim Robertson&#8217;s arrangement of the Scottish folk song &#8220;Auld Lang Syne&#8221; is for solo lever or pedal harp.
