This popular cowboy ballad is also widely known as the \u201cStreets of Laredo.\u201d The melody originated in the British Isles with dozens of versions, including the Bard of Armagh, with lyrics that reference an Irish harper. The arrangement features an intro and interlude, guitar-style chords and variations on each of the four verses. It\u2019s a lament and not meant to be played too quickly.
