The lever and pedal parts are formatted separately. Notes that must be omitted by lever harpists are in parentheses in the score; lever changes are noted. The setting is designed to accommodate mixed levels, with Harp 1 being the most difficult, Harp 3 being accessible for a beginning intermediate player, and Harp 2 somewhere in between. There are substantial lever changes for Harp 1, less for Harp 2, and only a few for Harp 3. Lever harp parts 1 & 2 require instruments with ranges that extend down to the C two octaves below middle C to the B two octaves and a seventh above.
