Harp duo Laura Oetzel and Daniel Mattele\u0301 have arranged Alexander Scriabin’s 2 Danses op. 73 <\/em>for two pedal harps. While Scriabin composed smaller piano pieces in the style of Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chopin at the beginning of his career, he and his music changed radically over the course of his life. His late work belongs to Expressionism. Scriabin composed the Two Danses towards the end of his life, after he had broken away from his Romantic role models and developed a completely new musical language of his own.
