Interestingly, a critic compared Pratté´s playing with the latter, stating that Pratté was “the teacher” and Bochsa “the student”!

We are extremely grateful to harpist Delphine Constantin-Reznik for the opportunity for us to be the first to publish Pratté’s harp music and for her dedication, hard work, enthusiam and diligence throughout this huge project. It is through her passion for pursuing new repertoire for the harp and researches in Swedish archives which has resulted in the unexpected discovery of the works of this Romantic harp virtuoso and prolific composer who, coincidentally, lived in the very same region and town as she does herself: Norrköping, Eastern Sweden.

–Alaw Music Publishing

Listen

Scroll down to listen.

Anton Edvard Pratté’s Souvenir de la Norvège for solo pedal harp appears here edited by Delphine Constantin-Reznik. “The ‘Souvenir de la Norvège: Fantasie Romantique‘ was inspired by the numerous trips Pratté made to Norway in the 1840s,” explains the editor. “This Fantasy is based on four Norwegian folk songs: En liten Gut ifra Tistedal’n (“A Little Boy from Tistedalen”); Å kjøre vatten og kjøre ved (“O Haul the Water, O Haul the Wood”); I fjol gjett je gjeita (“Last Year, I Guess”) and Stusle Sundagskvelden (“A Gloomy Sunday Evening”).” Scroll down for notes from the publisher.

This piece is available as a PDF download for $25.00.

Pages to print: 25 pgs.

Duration: 20:00

Note: This piece is formatted for A4 paper size; use the settings in your printer dialog box to get the best fit for your paper size.

[8143
477
post-124623","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-delphine-constantin-reznik","product_tag-harp-solo","pa_artist-constantin-reznik-delphine","pa_composer-pratte-anton-edvard","pa_genre-classical","pa_harp-type-harp-pedals","pa_instrumentation-harp-solo","pa_level-advanced","pa_nationality-other-european","pa_publisher-alaw-music","first","instock","downloadable","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
