We are very excited to partner with The Philadelphia Orchestra to provide music for the first ever Play-in on the Main Line for Harp!<\/p>\n

Now\u2019s your chance to play with the professionals! Grab your instrument and join members of The Philadelphia Orchestra\u2019s harp section at the Haverford School\u2019s spacious Centennial Hall for a lovely and stunning music-making experience!<\/p>\n

How do I register?<\/h4>\n

Visit\u00a0www.philorch.org\/play-main-line-harp<\/a>\u00a0to register for this\u00a0FREE community event.\u00a0Please note that participation is on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited.\u00a0It is not required for each participant to play all selections in order to join in the Play-In.<\/p>\n

How do I obtain music?<\/h4>\n

Upon successful registration for the Play-In, you will receive within 48 hours an e-mail with instructions on how to download your music. Parts will be assigned based on answers to questions on your registration form and\u00a0are being provided to participants free of charge by The Philadelphia Orchestra.<\/p>\n

What do I need to bring?<\/h4>\n

Please download and print your music for the Harp Play-In. You are also asked to bring a folding music stand.\u00a0Chairs will be provided.<\/p>\n

Where may I store my instrument case and coat during the event?<\/h4>\n

A secured storage area (a \u201charp check\u201d) will be provided for participants during the Harp Play-In.<\/p>\n

When should I arrive? How long will the event last?<\/h4>\n

Participants are asked to arrive between 5:15 and 5:45 PM, and will be included first-come, first-served.\u00a0 Volunteers will be present to direct you as needed. The event begins promptly at 6 PM and will run less than an hour.<\/p>\n

Can I borrow an instrument?<\/h4>\n

There are a very limited number of instruments available for loan through a partnership with the Virginia Harp Center in Haddonfield, NJ.\u00a0 These instruments are reserved for players who have no other access to an instrument.\u00a0 Please indicate in your registration comments if you would like to be considered for a loaned instrument.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
