Sunny Days

Willi Maerz’ original composition “Sunny Days” is for four lever and pedal harps with optional bass and percussion. (Harps 1A and 2A can be played on lever harp, while Harps 1 and 2 require pedal harp.) Written in a Latin American style, the percussion-style elements leave a lot of space for improvisation. “When performed in an ensemble of more than four harps,” says Maerz, “one harpist per part can tap the rhythm, and the other play the tune.” More percussion instruments can also be added to taste.
