Additional Notes
“O Holy Night” (or “Minuit Chrétiens”) is especially popular in France and English-speaking countries. The gracious eighth-note triplets of the underlying accompaniment are perfectly suited for harp and harp quartet. While never slipping into a gloomy or melancholy mood, as very often the case with German Christmas songs, it nevertheless remains a solemn song.
