Additional notes
This book contains twelve of the most lever-harp-friendly pieces from the three books of Dowland’s Songs & Ayres originally written for voice and lute. The harp arrangements in this book, which are intermediate to advanced level with several lever changes in most of the pieces, were transcribed from the original lute tablature. Verlene has also added introductions, interludes and endings that incorporate the melody and accompaniment on solo harp. In lieu of a singer, the melodies also fit well for flute, violin, or recorder. The mp3s of all songs played on lever harp and sung by Verlene are included.
