The Skaters Waltz

“The Skaters Waltz” (originally “Les patineurs”) by French composer Émile Waldteufel has been arranged here for two lever and pedals harps by Shari Pack. Harp 1 includes a glissando at the end that is best played with two pedal changes, and there are also other pedal changes in the part. There are no lever changes in Harp 2. (See arranger's notes, below.)

Arranger’s Notes

This delightful waltz has been around since 1882 when Waldteufel first introduced it to describe the graceful swirling of skaters. Each part has arpeggios and melody; and there is a dramatic ritard at measure 51, returning to the normal tempo at measure 52 after the page turn.
