Serena O’Meara has arranged the traditional Scottish/English ballad “The Wraggle-Taggle Gypsies – O” for two lever or pedal harps. All nine verses of this popular folk ballad alternate with interludes foretelling the tone of the next verse. Soundboard knocks evoke the sound of horse hooves, glissandos suggest the gypsies, and the lord’s low voice and lady’s high voice are represented in varying ranges with their interaction getting a bit tense! The lyrics are included.
