The Wild Rover

Serena O’Meara has arranged the traditional Irish ballad “The Wild Rover” for lever or pedal harp and violin. Over 200 known versions of this upbeat folk melody has are found throughout the English-speaking world, differing with respect to titles, lyrics, and rhythms. O’Meara says, “In Ireland [this tune] is thought of as either a temperance or a drinking song.”
