Carolan’s Concerto (Harp Duet)

Serena O’Meara’s arrangement of Turlough O’Carolan’s “Carolan’s Concerto” is for two lever or pedal harps. According to legend, Turlough was challenged to create a piece in the popular Italian style of the day, and this piece was the result mimicking the style of Corelli. The upbeat melody in this arrangement is evenly divided between both Harp 1 and 2 parts. This joyous music is commonly performed at weddings either as processional or recessional.
