Cardon Sonata No. 1

 
The classical “Sonata no. 1,” op. 8 by Jean-Baptiste Cardon (1760–1803), for harp and violin, appears here in a revised edition by Rainer Templin. It is a welcome addition to the sparsely existing classical repertoire for the chamber music ensemble violin and harp. Included in this edition are the full score, a separate violin part, background information about the composer, and performance notes. (See below for an excerpt from the notes.)
