Sinfonia (BWV 156-1)

$10.00

Deborah Dahl Shanks’ arrangement of Bach’s Sinfonia 156, number 1 is for lever or pedal harp and flute. This Sinfonia (also known as “Air on a G string”) from Cantata 156 for the third Sunday after Epiphany was first performed on January 23, 1729. The cantata is well known for its opening melody for orchestra and solo oboe. This arrangement pairs the harp nicely with the lightness of the flute.
