Ancient Rituals, Distant Landscapes

David Lefkowitz’s “Ancient Rituals, Distant Landscapes” is for solo pedal harp with additional percussion played by the harpist. Says the composer, “This work of music is meant to portray some of the unreal beauty of such mythic places as the Garden of Eden (the ‘Distant Landscapes’), contrasted with the fearsomeness, awe, and dread of those ‘Ancient Rituals.'” Winner of Special Prize, 2nd Fukui International Harp Music Awards Competition.
