I hold a Master's degree in Harp Performance and Pedagogy and I have experience teaching students with a wide range of ages and abilities. I especially enjoy starting young beginners with their first music lessons. I also have experience planning and directing recitals, coaching harp ensembles, and arranging music for harp ensemble.
I strive to teach with a well-rounded approach that includes music history, theory, note-reading, technique, musicality, performance techniques, and exposure to various sounds and genres. My goal is to recognize the potential in each student and challenge him or her in a way that encourages growth. The skills learned in solo and ensemble performance, as well as individual practice, are far-reaching; both students who become professional musicians as well as those who do not will experience benefits from music study in their personal, academic, and professional lives.
