My harp curriculum consists of a comprehensive plan tailored to the needs of each student, including technical exercises, graduated solos, harp ensemble, performance practice, music theory, and harp history. Orchestra training, and audition and competition preparation are available for advanced students. I have a limited number of rental harps available, and can also provide guidance in renting or purchasing an instrument. I believe that everyone can learn the harp if given the right tools. With more than 20 years’ experience, I am currently on the staffs of the Shepherd Community Music Program at Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and the Berkeley Springs School for the Arts, a ministry of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church, also in West Virginia. Additionally I teach long distance students using Skype and other video technology. My previous experience includes positions with the Shenandoah Arts Academy, Morgan County Public Schools, and Morgan County Adult and Community Education. I hold the BM in Harp Performance from Montclair University, the MM in Harp Pedagogy from Shenandoah Conservatory, graduate level performance study at Carnegie Mellon University, and the DM in Harp Performance from Florida State University.
