Luzviminda (Minda) Keene is now teaching online and in person at her studio in the Dallas Metroplex.
Minda Keene began at the age of 25 studying harp with Patricia Pence-Sokoloff while enrolled for a piano major degree at Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC. “It was love at first sight and sound when I walked by the harp room on my way to the piano practice rooms. I met Patrician and signed up for harp lessons that same day!” reminisces Minda.
Regardless of your age, level of musical proficiency, or physical/mental limitations, Minda can assist you in finding the "musician within."
In addition to music performance and self-development, Minda Keene customizes the lesson curriculum for each student on an individual basis and assesses the student's best learning styles for an enjoyable and productive lesson experience. Music theory and ear training are highlighted in lessons as well. Minda has been a private harp instructor for over 10 years and has taught piano for over 21 years. She is completing her certification with Healing Harps and believes in the healing effects of music on all living things. Minda is creative in her teaching style and enjoys playing the harp for ceremonies such as funerals, special events and with her students at community outreach events.
A free assessment is provided before lessons are started to help provide an introduction and opportunity to discuss the student’s goals and expectations of the lesson experience.
