The UChicago Department of Music offers orchestra sectionals and many performance opportunities. Her students perform regularly in their communities, studio recitals, with orchestras, summer festivals and statewide selection by the Illinois Music Educators Assoc. Ms. Lau is in demand as an orchestral musician, educator, solo harpist and chamber music recitalist throughout the Midwest.

Lillian Lau’s education experience includes teaching and pedagogical training as the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Harp Program Graduate Assistant from 2002-2005, harp coaching for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and through the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s MusiCorps program. Her students range in all levels and ages from aspiring performers to adult enthusiasts on pedal and lever harps. Each weekly lesson focuses on musicality, creative and academic selections, relaxed posture and tone production to achieve the enjoyment of artistic excellence.
