Searching tips: Search for listings by name or location in the directory search boxes below. Narrow your search using the filters to the left. You can also search by region using the links to the right. Search for other information such as school affiliations in the directory search box. (Note: the main site search box at the top right does not search on directory listing information.) Reminder to teachers: Since your directory information is public, anyone can contact you, including those who might not be legit. If an inquiry seems fishy, it's probably phishy. Be wary of scams.

i’m happy to teach cross-strung harp, if you can’t find more qualified teacher. i play 7+5, but i could also teach 6+6 if necessary. i’m classical pianist by training, but i’m open to other genres. in the past, i was church pianist, and i taught piano lessons. i organized concerts & performed on stage with music students, but my degrees are actually non·music: math (PhD), women’s studies (grad certificate), physics (BA).

My teaching style is tailored to each individual student at whatever level they are.  Technique is a large element of what I teach as it is essential to work with as much control as possible so that one can express themselves musically with no hindrance due to lack of facility.  Classical repertoire must be studied in my studio, but I also not only encourage but require my students to learn other styles of music.  I find it is important to develop a large view of music as a whole.

I cater my teaching to the learning style of the student. I work with students of all ages, children through senior citizens. My goal is to prepare the student for a lifetime of enjoyment with the harp be it a career if that is desired, or simply as a hobby.
