Grace Bauson is currently accepting students in Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Harrisonburg, Virginia. As adjunct instructor of harp at James Madison University, the University of Mary Washington, and Southern Virginia University, as well as a past faculty member at the American Youth Harp Ensemble, Grace has experience with all levels of students. Her favorite summertime activity is teaching at the Rocky Mountain Springs Harp Program.
Encouraging and supporting students and their goals is as important to me as the music they play. I hope to help the harp enrich students’ lives and the lives of those around them. My training is classical, but I also explore other genres of music with my students. As a teacher of the Salzedo method, I believe that a strong hand position and controlled technique provide the foundation on which to build interpretation, musicality, and performance.
