University of Texas Butler School of Music


Home of SXSW, performing opportunities abound in Austin, TX.  Majors are eligible to perform with the Grammy award-winning UT Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Butler Opera Center; non-majors with the University Orchestra. Both majors and non-majors are welcomed into the Harp Ensemble.  Harpists interested in Suzuki pedagogy can study with SAA Harp Trainer Delaine Leonard for university credit and to register their  training with the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

The Butler School is a thriving musical community in the heart of Texas. Our goal is to inspire your creativity and empower you to be your best musical self. Harp studio students have a high degree of one-on-one contact with the instructor. Scholarship support is available for students who excel academically and musically.
