The Applied Music Program at the Herb Alpert Music Center is designed for students seeking to transfer to four-year institutions to complete a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Music degree. Students receive private lessons to prepare them for auditions and performances, as well as music theory, history, and ensemble courses. The Applied Music Program offers students a direct transfer pathway to its fellow Herb Alpert programs at UCLA and CalArts.
