I had been hired to play for a cocktail hour after a beautiful wedding. Everything was going well, and I was playing background music without incident. Out of the blue, as one of the guests passed me, she stuck her hand out to cover up my music! She quickly walked past, and I was a bit confused but kept playing.

A minute later, the same guest covered my music again! I was starting to get annoyed but kept playing since her hand was only there for a moment. Then, she walked by a third time. This time, though, she kept her hand (and much of her arm) over my music until I stumbled over the music and stopped to ask the woman to remove her hand. She finally did, laughed it off, and proceeded to spend the next 20 minutes or so talking to one of my family members who was also at the event (whom she had never met before). It was quite an odd experience.
