@chloetheharpistA harpist’s wardrobe has to take lots of criteria into account—the gig, the audience, the instrument. We asked harpists to share photos of their harp threads, using the hashtag #practicalharpist. Judging by how many shoe shots we saw, pedal harpists are crazy about their footwear. What’s your favorite piece to play on the harp? At the moment it’s Salzedo’s Ballade—it’s fun and challenging!

What did you want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to be an architect.
