What makes this camp experience unique is:

"Total beginners and students who want to learn more about the harp and its music."

This camp is perfect for:

"This is close to home for many students, and brings the world of the harp to them."

Students come back year after year for our camp's:

"Kind and respectful approach to encouraging in depth harp study at every level."

Students in the Harp Explorers course will be provided with a harp to use in class and performance for the week; all other students will need to bring their own instrument.  Harp Choir students will work with a composer on a class project, and Young Artist students who have prepared a piece with string accompaniment will work with a string quartet, coached in tandem by harp and chamber music faculty. The afternoon harp ensemble will provide the experience of being on a team, communicating with other musicians, following a conductor, rehearsing and performing together. Students will have opportunities to perform on the Lunchbox Concert Series and the final Festival Concert. Classes are taught in a group setting, private lessons are available.

Hosted on the campus of First Christian Church, 8484 Old Hammond Highway, this day camp is the perfect experience for students seeking college preparatory guidance, chamber music experience with a string quartet, and getting started with the fundamentals in harp playing.
