The Salvi Foundation has just announced the 14th edition of its annual Cátedra Salvi de Arpa, hosted by the National University of Colombia, in Bogotá. The Cátedra is a one-week program for Latin American harpists which provides the opportunity to come together and learn from international artists. Having headed the program since its inception, Emmanuel Ceysson – principal harpist of the New York Metropolitan Opera – will return this year and give a series of masterclasses. In addition to masterclasses, the program also includes daily harp ensemble activities, a harp exposition, the opportunity to compete in a mock orchestra audition, and a final recital.
